US Air Force Veterans ' attempt ' to join ISIS

The court in New York, USA, indicted a US Air Force veteran seeks to join a group calling itself the Islamic State (ISIS).



Prosecutors say veteran named Tairod Nathan Webster Pugh tried to join the jihadis in Syria, a few weeks after being fired from his job as an aircraft technician in the Middle East.

He allegedly tried to enter Syria via Turkey in January, but was rejected and sent to Egypt. From here he was extradited to the United States.

After confiscating laptops Pugh, American officials get a trail that Pugh searching for information on the Internet about how to enter the territories controlled by ISIS.

This laptop has a letter of his desire to help establish and maintain the Islamic State, the Associated Press news agency said.

"There are only two results of my work: victory or (dead as) martyrdom," said one letter Pugh.

His lawyer said Pugh assert his innocence.
