Capitalist protests starting running riot in Germany

German police said they arrested 350 people when anticapitalist protesters clashed in Frankfurt coincided with the inauguration of the office of the European Central Bank.


Thousands of protesters have gathered a few hours before the opening of the headquarters of the European Central Bank on Wednesday (03/18).

They set fire to police cars and attacked police and firefighters. Police in full uniform to handle riot using water cannon to disperse thousands of protesters.

Thousands of police were deployed to maintain security around the building whose construction swallow US $ 1.4 billion.

The protesters wore black clothes. Their existence is only around a few streets from the new headquarters of the European Central Bank.

In the inauguration speech, head of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, said protesters were misplaced because the European Central Bank blamed on economic difficulties experienced by Europe.

Draghi also like to thank the police.

"I also express my thanks and warm regards to the police and all the actions of the security forces and their efforts to maintain security on the outside."
